Marc Jacobs for "Diet Coke"

1:21 PM

After Jean-Paul Gaultier and Karl Lagerfeld,  as the new creative director for the 2013 Coca Cola Light has been chosen the legendary designer Marc Jacobs.
His name is already a legend, as well as his creations.
This limited edition of the "Diet Coke",is not only celebrating 30 years of "Coca Cola Light", but also the 30 years of glorious career of  Mr. Jacobs in Fashion World.
With three cans and bottles, Marc Jacobs wanted to highlight the different styles that charachterized the woman in the decade from the 80's to 2000.
For the 80's  he shows a strong and uninhibited woman, wearing black suit with bow tie and a big hat. It 's a woman who claims her power, and the 80's mark his ascent to the work career and in society. In the background, many papillon symbolic invade the scene.
As for the 90's, the designer wanted to emphasize the close connection among art, fashion and entertainment. For this reason, there is a woman super-colored, with long gloves and  high heels.
Many purple and red birds fill the remaining space, referring to the freedom achieved by the woman in those years.
And finally, the mythical year 2000, which fully embody the extravagance and energy of the designer. Infact the polka dots and stripes are part of his latest collection. This is a woman full of energy and that  follows trends.
In Italy you can buy cans from the end of September.
I absolutely want all of them!
Do not miss the two videos that are at the end of the post!!! They are hilarious and  you can see a funny and ironic Marc Jacobs. I love it!

  10. I love Marc Jacobs! I think he's fabulous. I'd buy anything with his label on it...except this. Sorry, but Diet Coke is horrible for you. It has aspartame (which is an artificial sweetener. It was accidentally discovered when scientists were trying to create a pesticide). I stay FAR away from Aspartame! It's a shame because even the coke bottles are so cute :(

But thanks for sharing. It's just kind of disappointing that Marc would spend time and money on an awful product.

  14. Have you heard the truth about him? Marc Jacobs is a cruel manipulator! He tortures a talented young girl and steals her designes for 5 years!! She is called Angel Barta. Jacobs fooled her with love and marriage just to get her ideas for free. She was sexually harrassed by Jacobs. Read the shocking details about the sick designer on: STYLEANGELIQUE. BLOGSPOT. COM
